This chapter focuses on the author's visit to Tooy in April 2005 and Tooy's conclusion that fleeing may be wiser than standing his ground. Tooy explained that though he remained confident in his obias he is no longer sure how much power they had left. He added that during the time of his ancestor Saa Wii, the obias had twelve biyongos but now there are only seven. Tooy also shared with the author his recurrent dreams he had in jail, all of which had him falling into a deep pit and not being able to climb out.
