Busby Berkeley William Enos was born on November 29, 1895. His parents were Gertrude Berkeley and Francis Enos. Gertrude returned to the stage soon after giving birth. After the death of Francis Enos, Gertrude sent Busby to boarding school over the next couple of years, along with camps in the summer, while she found work touring with various companies.
