Helleweegen studied in Liège, but it was in a self-taught capacity that he tackled the pursuit of fine arts. He was a talented graphic artist and founded a silkscreen printing studio. He was equally concerned with matters of volume and went on to experiment with paintings, monotypes and relief-pictures. He then moved from figurative expressionism to non-figurative works....
