Jacques Maes was a pupil at the Académie Royale in Brussels. He then taught at the academy in St-Josse-ten-Noode, where his pupils included Louis van Lint, Anne Bonnet and Gaston Bertrand. He then became a professor at the Académie Royale in Brussels, of which he also became a member....
