Sculptor.

Having spent his childhood in the Auvergne region of France, after the Liberation Chavignier enrolled at the Paris École des Beaux-Arts where he frequented several studios. In 1952, he made his debut as a sculptor at the Salon des Réalités Nouvelles, the Salon de la Jeune Sculpture and at the Antwerp Biennale.
