Louis Jadin was a pupil of Hersent, Abel de Pujol, Paul Huet, Bonington and Decamps. He made his debut at the Paris Salon in 1831 and won medals in 1840 and 1855 (first class at the Exposition Universelle). He was made a member of the Légion d'Honneur on 5 April 1854....
