Born 19 May 1631, in Nuremberg; died 1711, in Stockholm.

Painter, engraver. Military subjects, portraits.

Lembke was a pupil of Jacob Mathaüs Werger and Georg-Stranch. In 1653 he went to Italy, where he studied the works of Pieter Van Laer and Courtais. He then went to Sweden, where he became first painter to Charles XII in Stockholm. He died in poverty. In addition to painting, he also engraved several plates....
