Painter, watercolourist, engraver, draughtsman, lithographer. Genre scenes.
Madou, who studied under P.J. François, was a draughtsman and calligrapher for the military topographic division in Courtrai. He then worked for the lithographers Jobur and Weissenbruck in Brussels, became an art teacher at the military school of art, and taught art to the children of the royal family....
