Born 1748, in Paris; died 19 March 1810, in Stockholm.

Painter, engraver.

He went to Sweden at a young age with his brother and father, who were both wood sculptors. He then travelled, spending ten years in Italy before returning to France. He later came back to Sweden, and painted the altarpiece at the church of Mary Magdalene in Stockholm. He also decorated the royal apartments in Gustav III's castle. He engraved religious and history subjects....
