Albert Daniel Rutherston was the brother of William Rothenstein. He was a pupil of Fred Brown. Although his landscapes are traditional in style, he developed a personal style in his design work. He staged plays by Shakespeare and Bernard Shaw, and illustrated volumes of Shakespeare and Maeterlinck....
