Born 29 January 1627, in Antwerp; died c. 1703, in London.

Painter. Hunting scenes, landscapes with figures, landscapes.

Jan Siberechts was the son of a sculptor of the same name. He was a pupil of Adriaen de Bye and master of a studio in Antwerp in 1649. In 1652 he married Maria Anna Croes. He went to England in 1672, accompanying the duke of Buckingham who, passing through Flanders, had noted his talent. Siberechts worked for the duke at his residence in Cliveden, painting hunting scenes and panoramic views....
