Marcin Zalaski studied art in Paris. He painted interiors and street scenes from Warsaw and towards the middle of the 19th century he decorated and restored several churches; he also taught at the Warsaw academy. Accused of conspiracy against the Russian government, he was condemned to hard labour in the Siberian mines. He occupies an important place in the world of Polish art....
