Aliki Braine studied at the Ruskin School of Fine Art in Oxford and at the Slade School of Fine Art in London. She lives and works in London. Her work is informed by her interest in art history and in particular historical landscape painting. She exhibits her own photographs of sky, sea, forests and fields which she alters on the print or negative by cutting, hole punching or overdrawing with black ink or white paint. Her work aims to “push photography towards abstraction”, in part by stylising the natural forms captured in the photographs....
