Feather, Leonard Geoffrey (1914–1994), jazz writer and promoter, was born on 13 September 1914 at Fannat Villa, Teignmouth Road, Brondesbury, Middlesex, the son of Nathaniel Feather, who owned a chain of clothing stores, and his wife, Felicia, née Zelinski.
